O, how I love my Dorothy's
and all their blazing, red stories.
Here's a smattering of the incredible people I'm working with and projects I'm working on.
Life Story Interviews and Story Consulting: Marisa Hamamoto
I am currently interviewing Marisa on her (amazing! unbelievable!) life story to help her understand how to build a crushingly compelling book around it, help her see the gold and feel the pulse of all the hearts of her story (there are many hearts, all beating with their own blood), and pull out pieces for media sound bites and short, inspirational speeches.
After 20 years in ballet and contemporary dance in both the US and Japan, Marisa Hamamoto started salsa and ballroom dancing while recovering from Spinal Cord Infarction, a severe neurological disease which left her paralyzed from the neck down, and from which her doctor said she may never recover. Marisa now owns a professional ballroom and salsa instruction and performance studio in Los Angeles, CA, and is a professional dancer, choreographer, instructor, actress and model. She is also currently launching her own nonprofit, Wheelchair Dancepiration, with the mission to share the power of dance and performance to the physically challenged community. She can be found beating the odds through dance at www.marisahamamoto.com. She says nice things about me here.
story consulting: Sunnie Givens
I'm interviewing Sunnie on her travels to the seven continents, consulting with her on structure and organization and writing for her forthcoming beautiful and brilliant book
This isn't a comprehensive list, and my book of business is filling up fast, but I do have a few openings left. If you're interested in exploring how we can work together, I'd love to hear from you! Simply fill out this form and I'll get back to you within 24 hours.
To the gilded path under your ruby words,
